I’m going to be a superstar!
In a little over a month, I’ll be attending the Superstars Writing Seminar in Colorado Springs. I owe Brenda Carr for this – she posted on Facebook last year about her experience both during and after the seminar, and it sounded so awesome that I signed up 11 months in advance. 🙂 Thanks, Brenda!
This seminar is focused on the business side of the publishing industry. There’s an optional day on the craft of writing, so of course I signed up for that as well. The schedule hasn’t been published yet, but based on the schedules from previous years, I expect to be completely exhausted by the time it’s all over. I can’t wait to see what I learn!
In bundling news, all 20 stories in the Haunted bundle have been uploaded to BundleRabbit. Hooray! I’m working on the sales copy and marketing images, and to get into a ghostly mood a few articles about ghosts and hauntings are being posted on the bundle’s Facebook page every week until launch on February 1st.
The Faerie Summer bundle, which launches in May, now has seventeen authors signed up, and the Beneath the Waves bundle, which launches in June, has thirteen. (My goal is 20 authors & stories for each bundle.) I don’t have any bundles planned past those two at the moment, but I’m sure there will be more. 🙂
I’m planning on finally wrapping up my edits on Entangled by Midsummer over the next two weeks – hopefully sooner, but I’ve learned that I tend to vastly underestimate how much time it takes me to do this type of work.
Once that’s done I need to write three brand new stories that I’ve committed to deliver in the first few months of 2017. My Faerie Summer bundle story is done pending final edits (and it needs a title), and my Beneath the Waves bundle story needs a little more description added (but it has a title).
Or I could totally change my mind and write new stories for both bundles. 🙂
